Holland & Barrett International to touch 100 franchise stores in nine territories

UK-based wellness retailers, Holland & Barrett International has announced that the brand is approaching over 100 franchise stores in nine territories. The brand has recorded strong growth in wellness sector across all channels and markets. It registered a growth of 5.5% on turnover of £368.8m for the financial year ended September 2014, up from £349.6m in 2013. The brand has around 1000 wellness stores in the UK and overseas that are both company owned and franchise stores.

These strong growth results follow significant investment in the UK as well as overseas markets. We continue to see sustainable growth across all channels and all markets. Our recent investment in new stores and new propositions such as free-from food in the new Holland & Barrett More- concept stores has put us in a strong position to further leverage the global trend of healthy living and wellness."
Renowned retailer of vitamins, minerals and herbal supplements, Holland & Barrett can trace its roots back to the late 19th century when it initially opened as a grocery shop. Its specialist experience in the health and wellness industry has been established over the past 80 years.
