Jaguar production crosses 6 millionth mark
Jaguar Land Rover, the UK's leading manufacturer of premium luxury vehicles celebrated production of its landmark 6,000,000th vehicle. The production Land Rover is a luxurious Range Rover LWB Vogue SE, fitted with unique and celebratory puddle lamp graphic. The year 2015 marks 67 years of Land Rover's innovation in design and technology and the 45th anniversary of Range Rover production.
The 6,000,000th Land Rover will make a debut on the Land Rover stand at the Shanghai Auto Show. The vehicle was built at Land Rover's Solihull facility, where the company has been producing its world-famous SUVs since 1948. Andy Goss, Sales Operations Director, Jaguar Land Rover Group says, "It is fitting that the 6,000,000th Land Rover to be produced is a Range Rover. With the growth of sales in China since the latest version of the Range Rover was introduced in 2012, it is entirely appropriate that this landmark vehicle is destined for a Chinese customer."
Land Rover delivered 31,632 vehicles in January. Commenting on the brand’s sales, Goss adds, "Following the strongest year of sales in our history, 2015 will be another year of growth for Jaguar Land Rover with 12 significant new product actions planned."

Its principal activity is the design, development, manufacture and sale of vehicles bearing the Jaguar and Land Rover (including Range Rover) marques.
