London on Carl's Jr. expansion radar

Californian burger chain, Carl’s Jr. is looking forward to open 30 restaurants over the next six years in important business hubs, London being one of them. The brand signed an exclusive development agreement with Toronto based 6Points Food Services Ltd to develop and operate the restaurants. Recently, 6Points Food Services Ltd opened a Carl’s Jr. restaurant in Toronto.   CKE Restaurants is the parent company of Carl’s Jr. Throwing light on the expansion plans of the brand, Ned Lyerly, President International, CKE Restaurants said, “We signed an exclusive development agreement with 6Points Food Services Ltd to develop and operate 30 Carl’s Jr. restaurants over the next six years in London, Kitchener-Waterloo, Guelph, Hamilton and West Greater Toronto Area.” Kent Graber, Managing Partner, 6Points Food Services Ltd added, “We expect a great footfall at our prime locations. Carl’s Jr. is all about high quality ingredients, fresh preparations, innovative flavours and exceptional friendly tableside service.”   Carl’s Jr. is known for its freshly prepared and quality menu items. CKE Restaurants Holdings Inc. (CKE) is a privately held company headquartered in Carpinteria, Calif. Through its subsidiaries, CKE owns and licenses Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s quick service restaurants. CKE operates Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s as one brand under two names, thereby acknowledging the regional heritage of both the banners. CKE has a total of 3,554 franchised or company-operated restaurants in 42 states and 34 foreign countries and U.S. territories. Carl’s Jr. franchisees across Canada are currently operating restaurants in Vancouver, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Kelowna, Vernon, Kamloops, Penticton, Grande Prairie, Edmonton, Spruce Grove, Guelph and Waterloo.
