Pandora takes over its franchise stores in the UK
Danish based jewellery brand Pandora has recently acquired its four stores from its franchise partners. Now, all the stores which are present in the North West UK region will be owned and operated by Pandora UK. The decision came after the brand registered a record year in the UK in 2014 with sales by 42.8%. This acquisition has taken the total count of brand’s owned and operated UK network of stores to nine. These four stores are primarily located in Manchester’s Arndale, Trafford Centres, shopping centre-Liverpool One and Blackpool.
Commenting on the acquisition Peter Andersen, President, Pandora Western Europe, said: “We are delighted to share this exciting news with our partners and customers alike. Manchester Trafford generates one of the highest individual store turnovers in the world and we are thrilled to welcome it into our own and operated portfolio along with Manchester Arndale, Liverpool One and Blackpool.”
Headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark, Pandora was established in 1982. The brand designs, manufactures and markets hand-finished and modern jewelry made from genuine metals. The brand manufactures its jewellery in Thailand. Pandora is publicly listed on the NASDAQ Copenhagen stock exchange in Denmark. Pandora jewellery is sold in over 90 countries through more than 1,400 concept stores.
