TruGreen gets its first Scottish franchisee

TruGreen, specialists in providing lawn care services, has begun its operations in Scotland. Local Edinburgh resident, David Inglis, will handle the brand’s first Scottish operations under the TruGreen Professional LawnCare franchise agreement. The franchisee will serve around a potential 115,000 customers to the west of Edinburgh. TruGreen is a franchise of Leicestershire-based, ServiceMaster Limited, which has been established in the UK since 1959.

Steve Welch, Operations Manager, TruGreen, says, “Our franchisee already had the passion to start his business. We were able to provide the skills and knowledge so that he may offer his customers the very best, bespoke, lawn care service. With 35 years of professional lawn care experience, the hands-on, technical support is unrivaled in the industry.”

One of the leading players in providing lawn care services, TruGreen began its operations as a small private company in 1973. Presently, the brand serves over  3.4 million residential and commercial customers throughout the UK and the USA. It was acquired in 1990 by ServiceMaster Limited that was established in the US in 1929, as a cleaning services provider. It includes ServiceMaster clean, TruGreen, Merry Maids and Furniture Medic brands under its belt.
