Victoria's Secret to unveil store in Berkshire
Victoria’s Secret, an internationally renowned luxury lingerie brand will soon be making its presence in The Oracle, one of the well known shopping and leisure malls at Reading in the English county of Berkshire, England. The 9,000 square feet store will be located in a prime location. The lingerie brand is scheduled to open by the end of 2015.
With new store opening, Victoria’s Secret store count will reach to nine within UK. Also, it will be the third store within the portfolio of the mall developer- Hammerson. The new store will showcase the latest lingerie collections and beauty products from Victoria’s Secret as well as its Victoria’s Secret PINK lifestyle brand. Martin Bull, Leasing Executive, Hammerson said, “We have posited ourselves as one of the prime retail destinations by attracting leading global retailers. Maintaining the strong retail, dining and leisure mix ensures that shoppers are able to enjoy a London standard shopping experience in Reading.”
Victoria's Secret was founded by Tufts University and Stanford Graduate School of Business alumnus Roy Raymond and his wife Gaye in San Francisco, California, in June, 1977. Victoria's Secret is one of the largest American retailers. The company sells lingerie, women’s wear and beauty products through its catalogs, website, and its U.S. stores. Victoria's Secret is wholly owned by publicly traded L Brands. The brand is known for its catalogs and its annual fashion show. The brand is credited with 'transforming lingerie from a slightly embarrassing taboo into an accessible, even routine accessory.'
